DID YOU KNOW ?

The name "The Doors" comes from the title of a book by Aldous Huxley entitled "The Doors Of Perception". In this essay released in 1954, Huxley recounts the effects of Mescaline, a powerful Psychotropic, on his own person. However, the title of this book is itself actually taken from a quote from William Blake present in his collection of poetry dating from 1793, called "The Marriage of Heaven and Hell": "If the Gates of Perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite."
