Jim Morrison boards the USS "Bon Homme Richard", January 8, 1964

On January 8, 1964, a few weeks before starting classes at UCLA,

Jim Morrison visits his father, George Stephen Morrison (who at the time was a captain in the United States Navy), in​​ aboard the aircraft carrier USS "Bon Homme Richard" (CV-31).

During the visit, his father insisted that Jim get a military-style haircut. Jim also used a submachine gun to fire at targets floating in the ocean below.
