The district of Venice in Los Angeles in the State of California is directly linked to the history of the Doors, the group being from there, so it was normal to see one day or another some form of tribute to the famous musical formation and its charismatic singer...
Since 1991, the black leather Rimbaud, Jim Morrison has been immortalized on the facade of 1811 Speedway at the intersection of 18th Avenue in Venice.
Made by artist Rip Cronk, this gigantic representation was originally placed on a blue background. In 2012, Cronk began a complete restoration of the work, including a new background representing a sunset, as well as new details such as Jim's blue eyes.
Today, the work continues to attract the eye of thousands of tourists and fans who do not hesitate to take their picture in front of the building. Jim Morrison meanwhile, continues long after his death, to mark the city of Los Angeles...
