Release of the Single: "Hello, I Love You", June 4, 1968
"Hello, I Love You", the second single from "Waiting for the Sun", the DOORS' 3rd studio album, was released on June 4, 1968!
The single also contained "Love Street" on the B-side. “Hello, I Love You” reached #1 on the US Billboard chart and was the band's first UK hit.
Did you know that the last verse of “Hello, I Love You” was written by Jim, 3 years before the recording of the song, while living on a rooftop near Venice Beach in Los Angeles?
